The data is from the South African Mammal Red List, BirdLife South Africa's threatened bird list and the SANBI Red List of South African species. The first column is an assessment for the region (i.e. South Africa) and the second (if listed) is a global assessment. The species that have been photographed in the Waterberg will have a link to that page and can be viewed by clicking on the species name - additions to this photographic collection are welcomed.  EN= endangered; VU= vulnerable; NT= near threatened; CR= critically rare; R= rare; LC= least concern; na= not assessed.
