Protea gaguedi   White Sugarbush  Witsuikerbos,  Segwapi (NSo)
Protea gaguedi
Bateleur Nature Reserve, Dec 2017

Confined to higher-lying parts of the Waterberg and seemingly scarce and localised (though perhaps often mistaken for the much commoner Protea welwitschii).Distinguished from that species by its white, not brown hair colour, by its flowers being solitary, not clustered, by its old flowerheads opening out in a cup-shape, not flat, and by its leaves typically being longer and narrower.
