Bubo capensis Cape Eagle-Owl Kaapse Ooruil
Resident? An apparently isolated population known only from the highest area of Marakele National Park; little information is available on its occurrence here; it has a far-carrying deep hooting call which, at dusk in early winter serves to locate its presence.
