An erratic non-breeding visitor. Uncommon. Recorded very sparsely, mostly on the fringes of the Waterberg (recorded in 11% of the Waterberg pentads). The nearest breeding sites of this colonial tree-nesting species are 50-100 km to the north in the Limpopo valley and 60 km east on the Springbok Flats.
